下手な性転換で女性が乳首を失った
クアラルンプール−あるマレーシア女性が、乳房切除によって男性の体になろうとしたが、下手な性転換手術によって、両方の乳首を失ったと、金曜日に報道された。
この36才の女性は、「サム」としての名前での報道を望んでいるが、乳首を失っただけでなく、手術後の重篤な感染症と傷あとに苦しんでいる、とthe Star dailyは報道した。
サムが言うには、中国からくる専門家から手術を受けるという約束のもと、彼女はSelangor州にある美容サロンに行った。
報道によれば、中国の専門家のかわりにJohor州のクリニックの未熟なマレーシア人に治療をされた、とサムは主張しているという。
美容サロンの経営者に損害賠償を請求したところ、脅しを受けたとして、被害者であるサムは警察に訴えた。
美容形成手術に対するマレーシア政府の監視の努力にも関わらず、闇の美容サロンや個人クリニックによる安価な治療に、多くの患者がいまだに引きつけられている。

Woman loses nipples in botched sex change
Kuala Lumpur - A Malaysian woman, in a bid to become a man by removing her breasts, lost both her nipples after botched sex-change surgery, reports said on Friday.
The 36-year old woman, who wished to be known only as Sam, also suffered a serious infection and scarring due to the operation, the Star daily reported.
Sam said she went to a beauty salon in Selangor state in May for the procedure after she was promised a specialist from China.
She claimed she was instead treated by an inexperienced Malaysian at a clinic in Johor state, the report added.
The victim lodged a police report after allegedly receiving threats from the salon operator for demanding compensation.
Despite efforts by the Malaysian government to monitor cosmetic surgery in the country, many potential patients are still attracted by the lower prices offered by shady beauty salons and private clinics. - Sapa-dpa
